I walk up, tell the teller, I'd like to cash this check, open up my checkbook on the counter, and say, "here's my account number". She then asks, if I've ever cashed checks here before? I say, "yes". She gets into my account and then proceeds to ask me, this check is from another account, do they have two accounts? Me, What? How the heck do I know and what difference does it make?
