Came in to deposit a somewhat large check from an IRA I paid into over the last 13 years. They wanted to know why and where it came from. Wanted my ID. Examined the check like it was counterfeit $20. Then needed to get outside approval from a manager. Then I was told they would deposit half and hold the rest for 7 days. At a bank I've been doing business with for 15+ years.
