I received a cashier's check from my pop's estate, deposit in my acct and decided to closed my account out. Gave me a cashier's check, refused to give me cash and when I went to cash it. They put some hold it and I can't cash it now. So, unprofessional and especially during my grieving process to pull this crap. They are totally heartless. The Woodforest Bank in St. Clair PA inside the Walmart, may everyone of them suffer the consequences of their actions.

The bank teller either didn’t understand how their hold system worked when customers deposit checks. Or, she blatantly lied and had the customer deposit into the ATM in order to do less work. When calling customer and speaking with a supervisor one hung up to avoid having to deal with the situation. This bank let me open an account with a volunteer worker who made a couple of discrepancy mistakes which left the door open to supporting the ID theft I spoke of I was fighting. Then, a teller told me the next day I visited that my money "couldn't" be accepted that day because there was no proof of it not being laundered. I opened up an account with woodforest a month ago. I initialed and signed for them to NOT put any transactions through if I didn't have sufficient funds to avoid overdraft fees. They put through 2 different transactions already. Then I got my tax return check in the mail. I deposited it into my account yesterday for me to have to call about my check today. Stay away from this bank!!! I deposit a very reputable bank check. I had called the bank the check was drawn on and the check has cleared already. The branch level has a hold on my $10,000 for 7 business days for no reason other then the branch level is rediculous. I have a bank teller tell me she didn't want to wait on me because I was black or perhaps it's because she continues make mistakes when healing my account. This bank will get you in fees. I opened up my account only a few months ago. The first round of fees was understandable since my company didn’t move the direct deposit. After getting hit with that, I decided to wait to move the deposit. They are kind enough to offer overdraft without another account attached...WATCH OUT! I had over $300 in overdraft fees from small Apple charges that I forgot I switched to this card. Upon first charge, customer service called and asked me if I wanted to stop overdraft and I said yes.
