I am a supervisor here at this facility and have been for over 3 years now. Treatment is not supposed to be comfortable or easy. It is meant to make us uncomfortable so that we can grow and change the way that we act, think, react, and interact to get past the addiction. Great people and a very caring stuff they will take care of you
I really wish I would've read some reviews before seeking treatment here. There is an overwhelming atmosphere of hostility and intimidation from clients, and in a lot of aspects felt very similar to incarceration rather than a treatment program. there were more drugs inside the facility that had been smuggled in by clients than I've ever seen in one place before, I was bullied and harassed by other clients within direct view and within hearing distance of staff and nothing was said or done. I just graduated from Wooded Glen and its amazing place, i learned so much there. Totally worth the stay and staff are terrific.
This place uses tracking braclets on patients... probably because they have way too many people staying there. No diversity in patients. Most were white thugs that should probably be in jails. I was there one day last year. Someone told staff there that I had drugs on me, which I didn't. Two huge security guards cornered me in a bathroom and told me they were going to search me.
