This Woodcraft branch has always been a very high quality and valuable store in San Carlos! It has items and staff expertise that cannot be found in any other retail storefront in the entire peninsula. Good place to buy rough and surfaced lumber and contains some rare finishes such as rubio monocoat and waterlox tung oil. Power tools such as lathes, planers, drill presses, etc can all be found here.
Very inhospitable person at he front desk this morning. And lazy. I was only person looking at tools and I had to go looking for help. I’m heading to home depo. This place is almost useless at this point
had a disappointing experience this afternoon. One of the staff members, a taller man who appeared to be in his 40s or 50s, was noticeably impatient and came across as quite unfriendly. Even basic questions weren’t addressed properly, and the overall service felt lacking. I wouldn’t recommend this place based on this experience. I appreciate the stain part he helped me. However, he looks like changed a person when I ask him about the router bits.
Lots of cool tools and all sorts of fun stuff for the studio woodworker. I think their wood is expensive but it works for someone without the ability to obtain flat square stock.
