Great! It happened to walk in today and they were had an exhibit and you could buy vintage tools today. The gentleman name Rick, was the host of the vintage tools. I picked up a probably 50 60-year-old Stanley sweetheart chisel, just what I wanted.
This is a fantastic store with extremely knowledgeable, helpful employees. I highly recommend taking any of their classes.
Drove down from Fredericksburg to check this place out (mainly out of curiosity). Chatted with an employee by the name of Phil. He was very knowledgeable, and was recommending specific tools/models based upon my needs. He even let me test out the tool I was interested in before purchasing. Floored with this level of customer service. Almost unheard of these days. I ended up purchasing the Flexcut 5” drawknife that was on sale. Would recommend this place and plan to make the drive back down here in the future.
Amazing people work here! I was interested in wood carving and had some questions answered by a very helpful young man (I’m sorry I didn’t ask your name!) and bought a starter kit. I then became completely enamored by wood carving and came back to get even more questions answered and pick up a few more tools with my new knowledge. Phil was a tremendous help! Would leave 0 if u could. The female owner whom identified herself as she kicked my out for correcting my own service dogs behavior with a device which mind you wasn't electrical shock just vibrate. But even so it does not matter. She does not respect the ADA and told me to leave her store because she would not have that in her store, even the the behavior which was rare was prompted by her dog in the store approaching MY SERVICE DOG without my permission.
