Today, we had a private class ( it was led by Sandy). He was so knowledgeable and made the class interesting and fun. I would highly recommend anyone go here for any woodworking class that you might need. The equipment was plentiful and in very good working order.
This is one of the best stores for woodworking demonstrations and classes. I’ve been to several places in the Austin area and in Ky and Penn. The instructors are all super helpful, but I’ve taken most of my classes from Gus Hartman. I’ve seen Gus help students from beginners to seasoned woodworkers create great projects. It was okay. I signed up for a beginner’s class, but unfortunately the teacher of the class thought it was smart ass class because he was a douchė most of the time and spent a lot of class time honestly picking on people and I don’t know why he singled me out but he did and made it kinda miserable. A class for beginners should be welcoming, no stupid questions, open (we don’t know anything, that’s why we’re here!) But it wasn’t like that. I'm glad it's around but it never has anything I need, it's always the most expensive price, and it would be nice to find a deal on something just once to justify stopping in to support the store.
