Dependable We like going here to wind down from a long work week. Good food, good drinks and a very friendly wait staff. Patrons are welcoming and you never feel like an outsider.
Enjoyable spot We enjoy going to the Wood Tavern for a bite to eat. The food has always been fresh and good quality. Servers were attentive and bar staff were friendly.
Awesome Rockridge new American "tavern" The Wood Tavern is an upscale, relaxed, and inviting bar and restaurant. They offer small plates and drinks. Their wine and on-tap beer selection is respectable. Their cocktails are the main attraction though. All of the food is very good and pretty inventive. Their fries are awesome. The staff is always friendly and helpful. It is a bit on the expensive side, but you can find some inexpensive appetizer and lunch items. This place is always busy in the evening.

We often take our chances and sit at the bar, which I prefer as it offers an opportunity to watch all the action behind the bar, in the dining room, and into the open kitchen.
