What can I say that hasn't been said already? The workshop Mike hosted this past Spring was an amazing and worth while. To learn from a master craftsman while using the knowledge in a hands-on manner is an experience I won't soon forget. Mike is patient and excellent at communicating his craft to his students, and his workshop is really a sight to behold. Few craftsmen exist with the knowledge and expertise to restore log structures in a manner keeping with the original. Mike did that for the New Glarus Historical Society at the Swiss Historical Village. Mike met with us on several occasions before and during the restoration work, patiently and practically responding to numerous questions and concerns. We are looking forward to working with Mike on a third project this fall.
I chose Woodjoiners to build my timberframe home because I wanted to be actively involved in design, cutting, and construction my imagined house. Mike, is great to work with. I purchased a timber frame shed from him. Had it shipped to Arizona. He was very helpful and informative during the whole process. I have no building experience. He did a great job with the joinery. The shed went up without a hitch. Absolutely plumb and square.
