Little out of the way, but worth the drive through black hills Forrest. Tour guide does a great job.
So much fun!! Definitely worth the trip! Glenn was an amazing tour guide. Super funny, and our kids loved him! He had us laughing so much. A lot of stairs as it is pretty far underground, but absolutely worth it!
I recommend Wonderland Cave in the Black Hills. It has all the different types of cave formations box work, stalactites, stalagmites and flowstone. You do have to be able to bend down to go through one or two short areas. There are about 127 consecutive stairs to descend into the cave and you exit climbing up the same stairs. I don't recommend taking any children into the cave that will need or want to be carried. Some of the walkways are a tight squeeze if you are carrying a child. The tour is about 45 minutes.
