I wanted to write this review ages ago but waited until I officially knew I wouldn't go back. My first impression of this clinic was waiting an hour and a half past my scheduled appointment time after I checked in at the desk. Nobody came to update me or even give a "hey the doctor is going to be a while!" which was incredibly frustrating, especially because I drove in from Victoria. I used to have to drive to Victoria to get a birth control implant but luckily this clinic allows referrals. I was called promptly & a phone & in office appointment were made quickly as well. It’s not fun getting an implant out & another in but I was treated kindly & talked through it all. Very grateful to the nurse & doctor who made this happen & quickly to boot!
My first positive review was 4 yrs ago about iud insertion at the Vita clinic by Dr Armas. In-between over the years I spoke with other women about their iuds and was so sad to hear their horrific experience of no freezing or other medications by other doctors. Today I had my iud removed by Dr Armas. It was a comfortable fast experience with proper medication and procedure. This should absolutely be the procedure for ALL doctos performing iud insertion and removal. She has always been kind to me and took time to answer my qu... read more
I have known the Doctor to be very cold and dismissive. She will not be empathetic to your case and in some cases she will not be there when you need support. She’s a great Doctor when it suits her, but it might be easier in the long run if you find a physician who truly cares about the people.
