I was trying to transfer care from PA to this clinic and OB group for my second pregnancy. A nurse reached out to me yesterday and said (in such a rude way) that they will not be accommodating new patients because their providers are going on vacation for the holidays. So they turned us away. When I asked if there were other providers that we can see or take over my care. I’ve been going to this office for over a decade. They saw me through all 3 of my pregnancies (and Dr Akhigbe, who’s no longer at the practice, delivered the last 2 no problem! Wonderful experience! I was upset to find out she left). However, the last 2 years have really turned me off to the practice. Last year I saw Suzanne, who has ALWAYS been wonderful, no complaints with her. My gynecologist of 20+ years recently told me he was retiring. I then had a hard time finding a practice and gynecologist who was accepting new patients. Based on recommendations from friends I ended up finding Dr. Simons. Luckily he was taking new patients and I’m so glad I was able to see him! Really devastated at the treatment I received by the staff here. After the issue with the front desk staff, I made it 3 minutes into my actual appointment before I decided I could not trust anyone here. Unprofessional doesn't even scratch the surface. I'm glad I found out now instead of later on. Beware.
Honestly, I am surprised to see so many negative comments. I truly am left speechless. I have been going to this office for 13 years, and honestly, my experience with them has always been very good. In fact, right now that I am pregnant and just found out they do not accept my insurance, I feel devastated. The service they have given me has been so excellent that I am willing to pay for my visits out of pocket.
