Dr. Kontarines is simply the best! I wouldn't go anywhere else.
Dr. Kontarines is the best. She makes you feel very comfortable at one of the most dreaded appointments of the year for me. The office is clean and up to date. Front staff and medical staff were both super friendly and personable.
Nurse was friendly at intake, I initially came in for my annual exam. I did mention a concern when checking in, but I waited about 45 minutes before being seen by the PA. When she came in, she immediately began complaining about her office staff. The visit felt rushed from the start. After the exam, she still hadn't asked about the concern I mentioned to the nurse, so I brought it up myself. I’ve never left a bad review anywhere but this is a terrible practice. Scheduled an appointment, showed up the day of my appointment and they told me I was never in the system and that I never called them, I had the phone number in my recent calls and they were telling me no I never called and that I was basically lying and told me it couldn’t of possibly happened because I would be in the system. I had a very disappointing experience at this doctor’s office in Southbury. The doctor I saw was Elizabeth Kontarines M.D. Very unprofessional and argumentative, which made me feel uncomfortable and unheard. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this office. It was by far the worst satisfactory healthcare gynecologist office I’ve seen in Connecticut. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
