I went for my first well-woman annual visit in July 2025. The visit was a standard annual exam, with no previous problems. Pilotte, without my approval, ordered an HPV test for me, NOT covered by Medicare, costing $178.30. Since I am not sexually active and have had only one partner my entire life, this is ridiculous. Excellent trustworthy and well informed doctor.
Having had numerous gyno. exams, I am impressed with the care and compassion demonstrated by Dr. Pilotte. She did not rush the exam. Dr. Pilotte took a genuine interest in my concerns and she addressed my concerns before the physical. The physical exam was the most pleasant exam of this type I have ever had. In the past I have experienced Doctors who ram the speculum inside you. She was gentle and quick to take her sample. The physical exam was completed in an efficient and timely manner. Dr. Pilotte is wonderful. She's very calming and explains things thoroughly. I am very comfortable with Dr. Pilotte.
Been a patient for years. Dr brought in a random assistant to do my pap. It was painful and I even requested to skip the pap that day because I wasn't feeling up to it. The staff verbally pushed me into doing it. It was extremely painful. No results given after the pap. Not in my med rec log in either. They referred me for an ultrasound to a place that billed me almost 1k. I specifically asked for a different referral. I also received no plan of action to relieve my discomfort. I really like Dr Pilotte. She is thorough when giving all the suggested products and/or procedures to try to hopefully correct or relieve my particular problem.
