So much bias and fatphobia all the way from the clinicians interacting with patients to the radiologist reading your images. No interest in shared decision making or getting to know the patient to establish their needs and alter advice. Will just check boxes through your visit to bill for the visit without actually educating the patient. I had the worst possible experience at Rush from the desk people to those on the phone to the care providers and it was a breath of fresh air coming to UI. Everyone was professional and kind and we're really looking to give me the best care for me instead of what's convenient for them. I cannot recommend coming here enough. Autumn is amazing!
They have several very old beds that may not meet the comfort and safety standards expected by their patients. Additionally, I found a scale in one of the rooms that appears to be unused, which is only using space. Updating your equipment would not only enhance the overall appearance of your facility but also significantly improve patient experience and satisfaction. I believe that investing in modern, functional equipment will reflect positively on your commitment to quality care.
I'm writting this as I wait currently in the private rooms. I've been here since 8:30am and it's almost 11am and still waiting for my Dr to come in and do a simple procedure. The wait time is absolutely ridiculous, just to be seen. I hear lots of movement outside and people are shuffle in and out but I still remain waiting. This is only my 2nd time visiting but the wait time on both has been over an hour and last time they saw me..a nurse did say they over book people on purpose
I chose this facility because it was in network and the reviews weren’t too terrible. As I look back, there were red flags from the start that I probably should have paid more attention to. For one: when I first called, I spoke to the receptionist and was clear about why I wanted to have an appointment. I stated I wanted to *confirm* a potential pregnancy, after taking a pregnancy test and missing my period.
