At Newark Beth Israel Medical Center’s Women’s Health Center, my friend—an African American woman four months pregnant—was seen by Dr. Wendy Cervi (OBGYN). She has been dealing with pre-partum depression, fatigue, and constant morning sickness. Her employer, Amazon, requested a doctor’s note for pregnancy accommodations so she wouldn’t lose her job due to declining productivity. I had resident (I believe) work with me today. She was nothing short of professional and spent a lot of time with me-understanding my issues w/ a past surgery + my iud possibly being embedded. I can't thank her enough for her professionalism and making me feel seen/heard. I remember "Cho" being on her name tag and she appeared to be in her 20's. Thank you so much! I'll continue to come here.
