Ignore the first reviewer's complaining, not even town has a huge level one hospital. However this place has been like a resort since the day they opened. The food is amazing, the ENTIRE staff is above and beyond awesome!
I'm not sure why the first reviewer claims she had such a bad experience, but our experience with two babies in 2009 and 2014 were both excellent. In fact, Women and Babies is widely recognized as the premier birthing hospital in Central Pennsylvania, and regionally, I know many women who choose to have their babies here and are very happy with the decision. when i had my 5 yr old i was forced to go to women and babies as at that time there was no other hospitals to deliver at. well i went into labor i refused all types of iv's and everything (and they cannot by law force you to have it) well.....THEY held me down shoved the iv in my arm told me if i take it out they are going to put it back in, stopped my labor, sent me home at 4 CM telling me i could come back in an hr to a week. well i ended up back there the next day and they were nice as ever after i threatened a law suit i... read more
