If you are a Kaiser patient do yourself a favor and do not come here! It is not a welcoming place. Go to a Kaiser hospital if possible. The vibe is off. It doesnt feel comfortable or feel like a welcoming environment for mother and baby bonding. Most of the staff act like unhappy zombies. They stare alot. If you are a patient who have had complications during delivery and are admitted to hospital they will NOT allow you to see or bond with your baby until you are well. It is the oddest thing. I had my first born baby at Northridge hospital wonderful staff I got free baby gifts and gifts for myself the nurses treated me very very well. I went to antelope valley hospital pavilion center had my second one and it was horrible experience. I would never come back to antelope valley ever never again. You have rude nurses very very rude hospital staff. Northridge hospital much better I recommend all parents go there.
Had the worst experience they almost killed myself and my baby nurse was so rude said I could fight for my Medicine and when she went to check me she pinched the inside of me and I was bleeding like crazy I had a placental abruption the nurses were short staffed due to storm this happened in 2024 the hospital never even said sorry to try to fix anything my bf didn’t even get to see my son be born or anything they were not good here avoid this place
If you are pregnant, be an aggressive advocate for yourself at this hospital. In 2012, I went to the ER/Labor and Delivery twice leaking amniotic fluid. Both times, providers ran the tests incorrectly, not going to tell you how I know but I know, causing false negatives. They dismissed me, told me 'I was just peeing,' and sent me home. On my third visit, a nurse was highly rude, but the test finally came back positive. Because of their multi-day delay, my amniotic sac was open to bacteria.
