My great grandmother and my grandmother were active in the organization in the late 19th to early 20th century. My grandmother received her BA from Kansas University ca 1905. She taught Latin at the Lawrence KS High School and English at the Haskell Institute. She was a KU Phi Beta Kappa scholar and Kappa Alpha Theta sorority member. Through later activities as a faculty wife at Penn State University, she supported the values of the GAR-WRC.
