I recently visited Western North Carolina Community Health Services and, unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. One of the biggest issues I noticed was the high staff turnover—there always seem to be new faces, which makes it hard to build any real patient-provider relationship. It also gives the impression that the organization doesn’t care much about its staff or the patients who rely on continuity of care. I am literally floored at our experience. My mother has been a client here for years, and what happened this month is beyond unacceptable. We submitted a refill request on December 9th. When we went to pick up her medications today, the pharmacy staff claimed they had no record of it. Yet when we got home and checked the app, the refill request was sitting right there in black and white. This is the only pharmacy where my mother has ever had to split her doses.
