I had an absolutely terrible experience with the physician’s assistant, Venecia Marte. From the moment she walked into the room, she was rude, condescending, and openly judgmental. She rushed me through my appointment like I was an inconvenience instead of a patient, and dismissed everything I tried to explain about my health concerns. Her bedside manner is horrendous. I cannot say enough good about WNCCHS Hominy Valley. I went to an appt with my son. He recently moved back home, as he was struggling living in his own. I had never been to a state funded organization like this and not sure what I expected, but I can tell you this place MORE THAN exceeded my expectations! They treated us with such kindness, patience, and grace that it had me in tears! They are all kind and helpful. I don't like going to the Dr.s. I put it off until I can't but now I go on a regular schedule and I'm living healthier thanks to finding them.
Dr.Carmen took me in as I had just moved to North Carolina she is very nice to me.
They are not taking my health issues seriously, that impact my ability to function, perform, and work, as well as pain, and over app physical reality of my body. Lympodemia is an actual medical condition that needs proper medical care, yet their doctor thinks that my medical diagnosis isn’t real and won’t give a referral for treatment.
