I put off getting clean and sober for 16 years. I thought I'll stop when I'm older. I go to treatment when I have time to make a month off. I sure I'm not that bad - if I get as bad as 'so & so I'll quit then. Treatment and recovery was like winning the lottery for me. My life experience was full of disappointment and fear while I was using. I got clean and was able to build better feeling in my life year by year. I imagine how happy I'd be now if I'd gotten sober even younger.
