My oil painting journey with Kay began in 2018, and it's been a fantastic experience. She's a gifted teacher who truly understands how to bring realism to the canvas. I appreciate her equal attention to all students and her helpful guidance. I also value the flexibility she gives me in choosing my subjects. I look forward to her classes each week.
I have been taking oil painting classes from Kay for about three years now and I have enjoyed every minute! Kay takes the time to instruct clearly and give freely of her wealth of knowledge. She is fun and engaging and I have grown leaps and bounds with my art. I will continue as long as she will have me!
Kay has been incredible to learn from! I’ve always enjoyed art but have never truly learned. The class sizes are small (max 8 people), where you get as much (or as little) guidance that you need. Everyone is super kind, and is at different levels (you learn more this way)! You choose what you paint, Kay will be honest on what it will take to paint it, and then together you tackle it. Kay's talent preceded her on my oil painting journey. Looking over her work, you can't help but to be captivated by the level of realism and detail. So much so that I sought out an opportunity to take lessons from her. I was a student of Kay's for about a year and a half. My background was drawing. I'd never painted before.
