I would recommend Wise Eyes to anyone. I was there for the first time because I was having an eye problem and couldn’t get into my regular doctor. I was totally surprised at how well I was taken care of from the time I walked in till I left. My eye problems were reviewed and Dr. Riva was excellent in telling me what I needed and even set up an appointment with Laurel Eye for an evaluation of my cataracts. Wise Eyes Optical in Altoona has been so good for my family. I switched over to Dr. Riva last year, and have since switched my children over. Both of my parents have become patients there as well. Dr. Riva is very thorough, conscientious, kind, and knowledgeable. She always helps us find the most cost effective ways to order glasses and contacts. whoever runs the show now does NOT understand the struggle of choosing new frames. I'm extremely nearsighted and the only way to choose new frames without being nose touching close to the mirror was for them to give me a trial pair of contacts in the closest prescription to mine. they did it twice in past years. it was the only way for me to see how new frames would look on my face. now, they won't do that. any time I buy new glasses, it's a $600 plus sale because I also get specialty lenses. they would rather lose the sale ... read more
