I have just spoken to the nicest lady working the Wool Exchange store today. It is right at closing time (Nov 15th) and she was so helpful to me, despite the late hour. Wonderful! Though I am 4 hrs away, I hope to get over there soon.
Not only did I buy yarn, but I bought socks too! Such a cute place!
This sweet little store is unlike any yarn store I have ever been in. You won't find the big name yarns that you find other places. Instead, it is stocked with local, small artist yarns and such. Unique and refreshing. This is simply a jewel of a place. (And within skipping distance to the best coffee shop and bakery in town).
Wisconsin Wool Exchange is the definition of buying local. It is a lovely little yarn shop specializing in locally produced yarn including wool, alpaca and angora. There is an inviting table to hang out at and work on projects with friendly, helpful owners that will get you started on something fun. Stop in, say hello and get knitting!
