I, with a group of friends with whom I had shared much about how wonderful the Wisconsin Philharmonic is, etc., etc., we attended the outdoor concert at Sharon Wilson Center. What a major disappointment. The music could not be heard a good part of the time. This was not only due to the speaker system, but also to the conversation going on around us, by the many people who had apparently not come to hear the music. This is an outstanding group, under the brilliant and talented mistro Alexander Platt! It is right up there with the Milwaukee Symphony and is one of the oldest in the country. It was formerly known as the Waukesha Symphony until the name change, but has continued to challenge and dazzle all with it's breathtaking performances. If you want to treat yourself to a wonderful experience this is a must see!!!
