Our induction cooktop install was ok. Cable was routed in such a way that excessive holes were drilled in bottom plate and joist. This could have been avoided with a more considered approach. Wiring from junction box to appliance was initially done incorrectly. As soon as this was identified as potentially voiding the appliance warranty, it was fixed the next day with a subsequent visit from a different electrician.
