Good location, just on the edge of cute Winthrop. Very simple place, but very clean and quiet.
The recent reviews are rough but there are some valid concerns. The decor is worn and in need of renovation, but it's clean. The breakfast was limited at best, no milk for cereal only half and half. A few little things like making sure the cleaning equipment is stored out of sight, pitchers for juice, little things that can help!!

Good clean, no frills basic motel for us traveling though North cascades national park. Reasonably close to restaurants and resupply.
We have stayed at Winthrop Inn for annual hiking trips. Dog-friendly, but this time very unfriendly and uncooperative front desk agent Kathy. Even though we had called her ahead and, at her instruction, requested a ground floor room, she booked us 2nd floor. Ground floor was +$10 more (fine) but wouldn't do that either. Claimed it was "Expedia's fault" - it wasn't. FORTUNATELY, REGIONAL MANAGER LANDON arrived before the police did and TOOK CARE OF THE UPGRADE TO GROUND FLOOR AND SAVED THE DAY. Kudos, Landon.
