The Winthrop Estate exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that enormous care had gone into the restoration, every detail honors the property's history while still feeling warm and lived-in. A truly memorable experience for all of our guests, and a real hidden gem. Jamie and Ethan were the most generous during our stay!
Honestly, this location was the most magnificent and magical getaway!!! Imagine four sisters (50 and over) running and doing cartwheels through the backyard grounds, enjoying early morning coffee in the garden room, unwinding with nightcaps in the library, and sneaking into each other’s rooms in the middle of the night to reminisce about our childhood adventures!!! Work retreats at hotels and conference centers often feel chaotic and impersonal. At The Winthrop Estate we had the entire place to ourselves and that really made all the difference — we had the time and space to have real conversations in small groups, or one on one, sitting around the fire, or walking around the gorgeous property. The conservatory made a fantastic setting for the whole group to meet. It was a breeze to plan. We left feeling genuinely reconnected. Worth every penny! We’ll definitely be back.
Our experience at the Winthrop Estate was really special - incredible setting, delicious food and world class facilities and lodging. We brought TEDx Berkshires speakers together with sponsors, attendees and community leaders in an elegant and comfortable setting that made everyone feel honored appreciated. My family and I spent the 4th of July weekend at this estate. Great grounds, excellent rooms. The estate has a colonial look, and the property is kept in pristine condition.
