I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone after I witnessed how my daughter was treated by Sherry and Dr.Schmidt!!! The way the healthcare system is nowadays be prepared to protect yourself or love ones by recording your interactions especially when treated unprofessionally. You have every right to do so.
I’m mortified by my experience at this ER. Presented with acute abdominal pain (left side). Expressed depression over this long standing ulcerative colitis, was forced out of my clothes, property taken, and forced into the Torrington ER for concerns of suicide. (I EXPRESSED no suicidal thoughts or behaviors. My family confirmed I was just in pain not suicidal). Treated like I was just another “hysterical” woman seeking attention. I hesitate to leave a raving review because although it’s well deserved, it’s the best kept secret. ER is clean, extremely kind and knowledgeable staff, ridiculously short wait times…it’s the Ritz of ER’s. Waited a few moments to be seen and was given an X-ray immediately. Only complaint is they’re not open 24/7, but I’m still grateful they exist! Thank you for giving me such great care.
Best ER experience I have ever had. The nurse I had was phenomenal. She made me feel so safe and cared for. The doctor was thorough. I waited 2 minutes before being seen. They really eased my concerns.
