I called the ambulance for my 74 year old husband who had covid, very lethargic and was too weak to stand. I gave Ryan his health history of heart disease, diabetic etc. and instructed them to bring him to Charlotte Hungerford hospital. I received a call from the Winsted Emergency Outpatient facility and that's where they dropped him off!!!!! Why in the world would an ambulance service bring a elderly very high risk person with covid to an outpatient emergency center right down the street from where we live who obviously needed to be in the hospital???? The outpatient emergency room doctor called me and said they would need to call an ambulance and send my husband to the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital where he needed to be for proper care!!!!!!! I called the ambulance service and spoke to Ryan, assistant chief, directly and he told me that they always bring their patients to that outpatient emergency facility which is not true because my husband has always gone to the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital when we've called the ambulance in the past. I told Ryan before they left our home to bring my husband to the Charlotte Hungerford Hosp and he said he didn't remember me telling him!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is something very wrong going on here! My husband was pretty critically ill and then he had to endure the outpatient emergency room and then they had to call the ambulance again to transport my husband to the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital where he should of been in the first place!!!!!!
