I have known of this shop for years ! The owner is informative and very helpful ! If I need help with my tropical fish, she is the one I run to.
No one else in town will help me like this owner !

Winnie's Lover!!!
Seems longer than 34 years, but I've been goIng to Winnie's ever since I got my very first dog, Conrad the Miniature Dachshund. I swear that it was before 1977. Anyway, though they've shrunk in building size, my fondness for them has not. Edna is a dear and she remembered me! Anyway, their prices are very fair, but the advice and service are invaluable and treasured. Places like Winnie's and Keller Farms, Haltom City, should be cherished before they are gone forever.

winnies is a great place to go.I've been going there for 25 years Edna is always very helpful and extremely knowledgeable about the industry.She has even bought back fish from me that I couldn't keep any longer. Try getting petsmart or petco to do that! I'm glad to be a customer of hers for life.

Winnie's Fish & Pets is Great
I remember Winnie's before Edna bought it. It was great back then and it is great now. I don't know of another place who has been in a small business this long with the same owner. Quality service, quality fish and pets. Low overhead means better prices and that is what Edna tries to provide. I would recommend the place to anyone when purchasing a animal. It is so strange that everyone who left a positive review signed their name and the only one with a negative is anonymous, Hum! Makes you wonder if that may not be a realitive who is mad or an ex employee who got caught doing something they shouldn't have.

Edna is WONDERFUL!!!!!!
My family has purchased 2 weinnie dogs from Winnie's on 2 different occassions. We had a incredible buying experience, both times, getting the exact dogs we were looking for. I recommend Winnie's to any and everyone that is looking to purchase a quality dog that is exactly what she says it is(breed). Get ready to fall in love with your new family member!

A True Hurst Landmark,
I am 33 yrs old and I have been going to Winnies for as long as I can remember. I have fond memories of going there with my mom. I got my first of many hamsters there, along with my first goldfish, parakeets,etc. Yes it is smaller than Petco or Petsmart but that is the best thing about it. Later as an adult and I set up my first real aquarium I got all my fish from there and still do. Maybe it is an old building and it may smell a little musty after yrs of pets being there,it still has the healthiest and best selection of fish that I know of,which is what they specialize in now. So all you snotty soccer moms from S.lake and Colleyville who think Winnies is too small,dingy or out dated for you,go to petco or petland,exotic pets in Tara village. Because we dont want you in Hurst just like you dont want us in your towns you snobs!! And remember,most of you wouldnt be able to afford a 15cent goldfish from winnies if you hadnt married some man with money that gives you your debit/credit cards to go do your elaborate shopping at the stores yo frequint that make you think winnies is subpar. We already lost Rons BBQ,and I for one hope winnies stays right where it is and is open for business for many,many yrs to come!

Keep going back...
I have been going to Winnie's most of my life. I love the selection of different types of pets. They really try and help you if they can. I am a bird lover and they do love their birds. I have asked them to get special birds for me and they have done so. The only problem I have with the store is the lighting. I wish it was a little brighter in there. The staff is usually very friendly and welcome you in, they want you to come in and look around. They always seem happy to answer your questions and give you the time you need. That is why I do not mind waiting while they are with other customers. Just a fun little pet shop.

You sound insane and your facts do not check out
The lady that stated she blew on the cats face all the way to the pet shop... you sound insane and "not very balanced". I suggest you find a different path in life. $50.00 for your cat. That is a steal of a deal. Petco's start around a $100.00. $1000.00 for Vet bills, find a different VET. Your beef should be with the VET, not the Fish/Pet place; though, I suggest it should be with whom ever has influenced your judgement making process in life - $1000 for a vet bill... get real. I am sorry, but I think you were taken to town.
