The mental health services is outdated and needs to be updated to support a better crisis prevention plan for people in different categories of mental status. Mental health Dr Susan Laux is one of the best there. I'm so glad Dr Zerren retired because his style of treatment was outdated and non effective.
I have a son who has been hospitalized 8 times since August and they recommended IOP therapy before he could do residential. Well, he got kicked out of IOP therapy and in their discharge they said "higher level of care/residential" and the county stepped down to just therapy once or twice a week and after school programs. That in no way keeps the other kids in the home safe from his violent outbursts.
