We had an absolutely beautiful day for our flightseeing adventure. Normally Wings Airways tries to cover 4 glaciers. We had such a fine day, our pilot managed 5 glaciers. The last one was the Mendenhall Glacier which I have seen from Below and which I have dog sledded on. Our flight actually descended back towards Juneau down the face of the glacier and flew across the dog sledding camp I had been to on another cruise. The 5 glacier sea-plane tour was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We had perfect weather and we able to fly so close to those gorgeous glaciers, I was mesmerized. If you get the chance, do this!
I am going to start off by just fully disclosing that I am totally and 100% biased towards Wings Airways because my husband and i got MARRIED out at Taku Glacier Lodge this past April and our experience with Wings was so far above and beyond any hope or expectation. This is our second time booking this spectacular experience. The first was 7 years ago when my wife was pregnant with my son and we announced our pregnancy to everyone with photos that we had taken at the glacier, holding our ultrasound photos. This time we got the pleasure of bringing him back to experience the exact same things we did. It was such a special visit for us!
