Just got back from shoulder surgery, amazing care from the minute I walked in. Was kept in over night staff where lovely ( they all where) little late getting discharged but they was busy. Oh and the food was lush.
I had ACDF surgery at the end of May 2025. Mr Shah my consultant, was absolutely fantastic, explaining the procedure in layman's terms and had such a calming "bed side" manner. Everyone at the Winfield who I had had contact with, from reception, catering staff, nursing staff, theatre staff, medical secretaries, and obviously Mr Shah and the theatre team, exceeded my expectations. On a separate note, if anyone is worried about having spinal surgery, please don't. I had my surgery on a Tuesday, and home by Wednesday lunchtime.... read more
Had a sinus operation in October 2023. Was told I'd need to stay overnight, then not, then I would, then not. All went smoothly on the day until I was discharged without being seen by the surgeon, got the sense they wanted the bed back, were cleaning around me. Was subsequently told that shouldn't have happened. Gave feedback and was promised by the 'customer champion' person it would be looked into and I'd hear back within 28 days - ironically heard nothing more.
