When I called to confirm network status, I got a call back from their manager who was extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating. She gave me her number to call directly if I experienced any issue. Then came surgery. My anesthesiologist Eden was very thorough but also put me at ease at the same time. After speaking with her I was very confident going into my operation. Highly recommend.
Pre and post op nurses were good. CRNA was not empathetic whatsoever. He pushed the propofol way too fast and blew my vein. Started to fall asleep and woke up when he pushed more. Don’t recommend.
I had an operation with a provided who used Windy City. I was not informed by Windy City that they were an out of network provider. Upon receiving my bill of over $2000, I tried working with Windy City to reduce/pay my bill. There response and service to my request was terrible. After 8 months of trying to work with them, not my lack of trying, they turn me over to collections even though I paid and was in agreement of the balance. The anesthesiologist in Omaha did a great job. However I can't give this group a good review. We have been paying on my son's anesthesia bill since June of 2017 and have yet to receive an updated statement. In fact this group is borderline impossible to reach if you have a question about your bill. We have tried numerous times to get an updated statement with no luck. Beware. The ACA requires the provider to tell you the price of a procedure. I was given this price and proceeded. Later they decided to bill for more than quoted. The continued to bill UHC with different codes to try to milk more money from my insurance. A year later I received a bill. Crooked, fraudulent accounting.
