Wait times are ridiculous. One doctor for the whole ER ??? How do we solve this ?

My experience in the ER was second to none last evening. I was 6 days post-chemo and had a fever. As per chemo protocol I am to go to the ER with a temp of 38.3 or higher. There was absolutely no wait; bloodwork and vitals were done immediately and I was given a bed within minutes. I was quickly assessed by nursing and well as the doctor. As a cancer patient receiving chemo I have full confidence in the ER staffs' ability to triage properly and act quickly when warranted.

I arrived at the Met Hospital Emergency room with acute kidney stone pain. Within 15 minutes I was given something to control this horrible pain and it became very tolerable. Once I was taken inside the emergency department from the waiting room, they promptly did a CT scan and determined the cause of my pain. I was given a referral to see a specialist and the meds for pain control. Overall a very pleasant experience. Nurses are fantastic and everyone is very professional, pleasant and polite. Emergency parking was terrible in the middle of the night. Use the regular parking lot. Save you a long walk, or parking ticket!
