My stay at WINDSOR in Salem OR was surprising since I had been in the local hospital recently and I expected Windsor to be like the hospital, boy was I surprised! The CMA staff, the aids, the cleaning staff, the meals and the care by the doctors who went there to confer with patients were all well versed in their jobs and their attitudes were clearly to be effective in helping me to get walking again after many surgeries, and car accidents. DO NOT leave your loved one here. The facility is awful. Long wait times for a CNA or nurse to come and attend patient. Items were lost and took forever to get a reimbursement for those items. If an accident happened they were not forthcoming about it. When we complained only then did they make some changes but the damage was done. There was a very kind nurse Katie and the PT staff were amazing but I know they are from a different company.
I would recommend Windsor. The staff was incredible,
Obscenely understaffed. Patient wait times for help are far too long. My mom was not adequately supervised for her needs. Staff failed to contact family after two falls, the second of which, felt swept under the rug. Patients left waiting before and after meals with nothing do but sit for excruciating lengths of time. Some staff were caring, and attentive. Others less so.
