Beautiful horses
My husband surprised me on our drive through Wyoming with a stop at this lovely wild horse sanctuary. We were very lucky that they had time to do a tour for us although we came in spontaneously (please make a reservation if you want to make sure to get a tour as well). The farmhand Cadie (sorry if I spelled the name wrong) was very forthcoming and knowledgeable and gave us a lovely tour in the side-by-side-vehicle. We walked in and were greeted and taken out on a tour to see all the horses in an ATV. My daughter and I learned so much about the wild horse community which has a lot of misconceptions in society. I found the price to be fair and it goes along with helping the ranch run which is wonderful. It helps them if you call and make a reservation, but walking in wasn't an issue within their hours, but you do need to wait if there is a tour scheduled before you get there which can be awhile. The Wind River Wild Horse Sanctuary tour was one of our favorite activities during our time in Wyoming. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The work the sanctuary is doing is really special, and it was nice to learn about it. I’d definitely recommend it!!
