Dr Gardner was exceptionally friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and competent. She spent much time getting to know me and my concerns and experiences, and she explained the procedure options in a way I understood. I could not have desired a better experience with an anesthesiologist and her supporting team. I am extremely grateful for her care and gentle professional demeanor!

unfortunately, i don't believe there's a choice when receiving treatment at Winchester Medical Center, but I had a procedure and had informed the CRNA initially, and at least 2 times prior to my procedure that I wasn't ready, but was still knocked-out beyond my wishes and without being told. police report filed, ethics complaint filed, and health insurance notified.

The same experience as other reviewers… I came in for a procedure that involved anesthesia and had no idea it would not be covered like the rest of the procedure… ultimately received a bill and collections letter from them even though they accepted the agreed payment from Cigna… be aware that you are trapped as they are the only provider at the medical center

First Review taken down. BE WARNED they seem to take very few if any insurance and if you have an elective procedure, basically not an emergency, you will pay full bill. I had a colonoscopy and was not told ahead of time by Winchester Gastro that the anesthesia would not be covered. When I checked further it appears there are no other anesthesiologist who work at WMC so you don't even have a choice. I appealed to my insurance (Cigna) on the grounds that there is no other provider and they still denied. You basically need to ... read more

I have no complaints with the doctors employed and servicing my procedures but I do complain about their billing. I have had two knee surgeries, and a gall bladder removal...all three cases plus two colonoscopies done over the years. All procedures used Winchester Anesthesiologists. All these procedures were paid by my Meritain/Aetna insurance with no other out of pocket expenses. This last procedure, retina repair was considered out of network so I am stuck with a $700 bill. I can't find out what the difference in all these... read more
