Winacott Equipment Group was started in 1974, when George Winacott would use his mobile welding truck to perform all sorts of repairs on trucks and trailers. The company soon grew into a one-bay shop, and continued to grow into larger buildings throughout the 1970s. Winacott opened another shop dedicated to springs and suspensions, but by 1984 he had brought all his services under one roof.
