Every time I go to Wimpy's I always have great service and wonderful food. I've never had a bad meal at Wimpy's. The servers are wonderful and caring and I would recommend Wimpy's as a must when visiting the Cape. If you go there as a regular, they get to know who you are and always greet with a smile.
Wholesome, but mediocre food. I think that this type of place serves "New England" cuisine. Basic food. Not a lot of imagination or spices involved. The interior is trying to create the impression of an old and familiar dining room from decades past. It's OK. But it seems to me that one could easily prepare this type of food at home. I wish I could be more positive about it.
Stopped in for a quick lunch bite with the hubby. Got seated quickly, ordered the shrimp cocktail, oysters Rockefeller, cup a chowder & a salad. Shrimp cocktail, very good, chowder,just ok. Oysters ok. Emma, our waitress was wonderful. We met 2 wonderful locals at the bar. We talked for a while, they shared some local restaurants and bars we should visit, and we will. All the folks we have met on this vacation have been so nice, that's one main reason we love cc! I had to get the hat!
