Above and beyond! Waited 9 hours at a different animal hospital in Springfield yesterday.....my cat spicy was never seen by the vet there...he had a 105 temp....I left at 11 pm. This morning I went to wilvet South animal hospital. 24/7 180° difference in care.... My cat was attended to professionally by the best staff I ever met. 1 hour in dr. We were from out of town and drove an hour to get treatment for our 10 week old puppy. Long wait time for a stable pup on Friday 5pm. However exceptional staff! Natalie Jackson DVM was great! The star of the show was Rosie! Rosie is an incredible vet tech and made us feel so confident with our pup in their care. Rouge the redbone puppy was in good hands for her procedure after a terrible tear to her large hound ear.
I took our 5 yo shepherd mix to Wilvet South after he got bitten by another dog. That was a shocking experience for both him & us ! Fortunately I knew just where to take him & the staff promptly attended to him upon arrival to assess & administer pain meds asap. The doctor explained the necessary treatment calmy & clearly & afterwards the techs prepped him for surgery. Later that evening the lengthy discharge instructions were also clearly explained. Brought our dog in as she had swelling on her face. Staff triage the situation and provided excellent care. Staff was very friendly and showed great empathy as our dog was really nervous. Highly recommend for any of our emergency pet needs.
My newly rescued frenchie was experiencing pain and major discomfort so I took him straight to Wilvet as soon as I left work. I was told a 3-5 hour wait time and although a little disappointed it was exactly where I needed to be. Tonka was sick enough they took him right back to get pain meds into him so they could give him a good check up. The waiting room was packed with people with various issues with their pets.
