BULLING IS AWFUL!!!! They sent a bill for the balance of a pathology reading. Then they sent another the following month, I inadvertently paid the bill twice. Then realized it, I called and they advised there was another outstanding bill due pending insurance approval, and the amount I paid in error will be applied to that. I was sent to collections while my insurance claim was actively being refiled at their request. They did not have the correct subscriber ID on file, which delayed processing. They still never even filed it with insurance and the bill went directly to collections without notice. This reflects negligent billing practices and poor communication. I am disputing the collection and reporting the issue to the appropriate regulatory agencies.

Scam central - beware. Unfortunately, I didn’t even have the option to not work with this company since the hospital I delivered my baby at contracts with them. Awful awful awful billing system and the company has to be aware of this so shame on this for continuing greedy money hungry The original bill I had with them was $125 and they said they could discount to $100 as long as I paid within 30 days due to me being self-pay (this is standard practice). Surgeon sent my wife's breast tissue to Wilmington Pathology Associates. Bill came to us at the full retail price even though she's on Medicare and her mother has breast cancer. We paid the bill since we could not get anyone at WPA to understand that the biopsy was coded incorrectly when billed to Medicare. Unfortunately, we could not appeal the issue with Medicare since WPA took too long to send a bill to us. Pathology may be good, but their billing office is awful. Thought this was a scam when I received the text. Called the number and spoke to a lady who asked for my insurance information. I was hesitant to give it after reading the reviews and seeing that they aren’t verified on Better Business Bureau or Yelp. I called the doctor who this was being billed for, and they confirmed this is normal protocol. I’m not sure why Novant Health would go with such a suspicious business…
