Wilmington College is only a good school because of the friends and professors I had. The dorms are honestly not worth how much we pay. There's no air in the freshman dorm except on the first floor and the only way to get that is to have a doctors excuse or pay extra. The food is with sodexo and honestly most of the time pretty disgusting. The food plans are way too high and cost more than what mostly families budget. Extremely impressed by the visitor tour we took with our daughter. Beautiful campus. Staff was approachable, pleasant, friendly, genuine - that it was a family, not a sales pitch. Feels like would be a home, not an institution.
While not a Wilmington College graduate, I will say that as a young man growing up in Wilmington, the College was a positive influence on my life. Even today, as I serve this treasured institution in our community, the Wilmington College community has embraced me and given me opportunity to grow relationally, emotionally, and professionally. Wilmington College sits on the threshold of an incredible chapter within her rich history. My wife and I enjoy the honor of being a part of the Wilmington College family and community.
I loved Wilmington and my experiences there! Sad that people feel the need to discredit an institution on upholding values! Hope one person's experience doesn't deter anyone else considering this school! Check it out for yourself!
