I had a very disappointing experience with the Urgent Care on Miller Road. Patients should pay close attention to their bills because this office appears to charge for services that insurance companies already cover, then gives confusing or inconsistent excuses when questioned about it. Instead of being transparent and helpful, the billing process feels misleading and unnecessarily difficult. Healthcare is already stressful enough without patients having to fight over charges that should not be their responsibility. I strong... read more
Front desk staff was cold and seemed bothered that I was there. Did not feel welcomed at all, but rather like a burden. Paperwork felt too long and asked the same questions 2-3 times. I don't know why you bother having us check in on the tablet to then answer the same questions on paper. They also could not figure out my copay, so they wanted me to pay out of pocket. Fine, I guess, but I left & went to ChristinaCare on Concord and there were no issues in the slightest.
Came 4/10 to get my stiches removed , although I was a walk in and self pay the staff did a good job at making me feel comfortable, but the young lady who came to remove my stiches provided me with no help or advise other than she cant remove the because of the swelling...Now she did try to remove some, but because of the swelling it was too much... Her suggestion was go to the hospital.. What was the hospital going to do or say that she didnt??? And it would have cost me about $500 for the hospital to tell me to elevate my ... read more
I had a fever for 4 days with severe coughing, so I went to Wilmington 1st Walk In. I was diagnosed with the flu, and it all was so efficient, I was out in 30 minutes, given 3 meds. It’s been less than 24 hours since I started taking them, and I feel about 80% better! I highly recommend this place!
Made an appointment and was informed right after co-pay taken that the provider was going on break for 35 minutes, which actually was a hour. Don’t go if Porleah is the provider.
