Horrible experience from my care to the admin/billing side of it. I chose this birthing center based on all the information given in the orientation meeting. Sounded like a dream community of midwives who would guide me through my first pregnancy, labor and postpartum. But turned out to be a nightmare. If I could give zero stars I would. I recommend carefully reviewing their google reviews before choosing this facility. Prior to payment, My wife was informed that a refund would be issued if I did not give birth here. That outcome did not occur in my case. She did not deliver at this location or arrive while in labor, yet the full $5,000 payment was retained. It has been over a year, and the matter remains unresolved. I like this Center. The reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because there is a midwife I've seen a few times now that treats me like a child and has a somewhat condescending attitude towards me. I feel attacked everytime I see her and it makes me not want to come back. It feels like everything I do she judges and I can do nothing right. I don't like it at all

We had an incredibly negative experience here which highlighted the importance of staff training and crisis management. “This isn’t the one I trained with” is not a comment you ever want to hear from medical staff while they try to figure out what they’re supposed to do. In my opinion, our child’s life was saved by the Mesa Fire Department, as well as the doctors at Banner Desert NICU.
