I visited Maine 5 years ago and discovered these donuts then and on every trip back I make the effort to stop in because these are the best in the state.
Cash only!! They do say the holes in the doughnut originated in Rockland, Maine! Delicious! Now these are authentic old fashion doughnuts. A tad pricey but a delightful treat. Each doughnut is about $2 a piece. They are perfectly cooked. A little crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The flavoring is right on. They are all sort of shaped different perhaps due to the old fashion nature. The coffee was tasty but the cups they use are sized small. The small maybe equites to a 1 cup measuring cup.
