For our son's 1st birthday party we originally decided to rent one of the party room's with access passes to the pool and game rooms at Kempsville Rec Center. It was closer to our house and closer to majority of the people we invited. After finding out that Kempsville Rec was doing construction and remodeling of their swimming pool area during the dates of our kid's party, we expressed our concern and they suggested that they could transfer the event to Williams Farm Rec Center. Today I went to this location to do my routine workout. Well after my work out I wanted to do my stretch out. Unfortunately today some one informed the worker that I was stretching in a area that supposedly wasn't allowed. The are is off the track in a corner without a sign up literally out of anyone's way. Keep in mind I've been visiting this gym for quite some time now. Today was told by staff that I could not stretch there because someone complained. This employee is extremely rude. Experienced her being rude to many people and this time it was me. She has no people skills and is clearly on a power trip. The center is great, but dealing with employees like this makes the environment toxic.
i absolutely adore this gym. i really dont get the bad reviews. i think its just people who don‘t want to follow the rules/are extremely entitled because the workers are so kind and helpful. the equipment and facilities are always in good shape and its genuinely the best gym i‘ve ever been a member of. it makes me sad to see all of the bad reviews for dumb things that are probably untrue as well, but thats what happens i guess. i dont even live in virginia anymore, but everytime i visit, i buy a really cheap monthly pass bec... read more
