Down to earth and realistic. He doesn't sugar coat it but he also isn't rude. He was able to start treatment for me quickly and then changed it when I was having adverse reactions. He offers to inject steroids into my joints as needed better than an orthopedic surgeon i had it done by. He is attentive to concerns and has answers. After suffering for almost a year with an undiagnosed illness, Dr Schnitz finally found the syndrome and was able to start treatment! He is a most knowledgeable ,professional and personable doctor who really cares!!

If I could have done negative stars I would have. I had 3 appointments with him, all of which had me questioning if he was even a real doctor? His lack of knowledge on rheumatology (much less anything regarding basic medical knowledge) was absurd. I was noticeably very ill at the time and he was uncomfortable with the in-depth questions I asked. I felt like I was educating him vs what it should have been. I've been seeing this doctor for a little over a year now. If you are in need of a rheumatologist, I advise that you look elsewhere. I am willing to share my reason, my other specialists have sent him emails to put me on a med I've been on since the age of 16. He sits there, won't even look at me and asks me why everytime. I'm not sure why he treats it this way but if I don't get the med my eye health could be in jeopardy. I feel treated like a drug addict looking for a fix.....
